Give your wash a little breathing room.
A mesh bag needs room for the jeans to move. Here is what to check before adding one to your wash routine.

A mesh laundry bag can be useful when a garment’s care instructions allow machine washing. Choose a bag large enough for the jeans to move freely, rather than squeezing them into a small pouch.
Check the label first
A bag does not make a hand-wash-only garment machine washable. Follow the jeans’ instructions for temperature, detergent, cycle and drying. Wash similar colours together; mesh will not prevent dye transfer.
Prepare the pair
Empty the pockets, remove detachable pins and accessories, and turn the jeans inside out. Close the bag securely and tuck its zipper pull into the protective cover if it has one. Check the mesh for tears before washing.
Leave room
Use a roomy bag and avoid packing several heavy pairs inside it. The garment needs water and movement to wash properly. Follow your washing machine’s load guidance as well as the bag’s instructions.
After the wash
Take the jeans out promptly and dry them according to their care label. Let the empty bag dry before storing it. It is a simple tool for a suitable wash routine, not a reason to wash denim more often.
